Hand written (typed) blog entries from Sydney highlighting her personal life, business inspiration, and portfolio. I can't wait to get to know you better, I hope you enjoy getting to know me!
THE BLOG
We started The Blue Collective as a random idea. It was seriously a god thing, I have no doubt about it. One day I was driving to Austin and thought, now that Jessica is doing social media management I feel like we should partner up and do something? This text came minutes after Jessica finished praying about what’s next for her, how can she spread herself across Texas to reach other business owning women and help them grow.
Jessica, being in Austin, getting this text from me in Fort Worth was a prayer almost immediately answered. It’s like He whispered in my ear, “Jessica is asking for you”.
We started texting nonstop about how we could serve our audience. How we could best communicate our passion of building women owned businesses up for great success. And The Blue Collective was born.
We wanted a place where we could share our knowledge on building and growing a successful business to other women who want to do the same. I want to share my experience on branding and how to make sure it fits you, speaks to your audience, and portrays you accurately. I want everyone to know how to best showcase that brand on the internet. I like to say your website is your storefront. No matter what you do, if you don’t have a brick and mortar, your website is it. Like when you walk into a store and immediately feel the vibes in there and decide whether or not you’re going to find something you like there. That’s the same effect your website has on its visitors! So let’s talk about what the best practices for that are, what needs to be on it and what you can leave off.
Jessica will be presenting a workshop on how to optimize your social media as a business owner to make your business stand out, connect with your audience, and grow organically and authentically!
We wholeheartedly believe in practicing what we preach, so during the event we will have two photographers taking “brand shots”, not headshots 😉, of all of the attendees. We’ll have scheduled time slots so everyone gets 10 minutes of focused camera time. We found two totally opposite style photographers so that we can make sure that your shots come out on brand. After all, that is the whole point of this workshop; teaching you how to build a brand that stands out, how to keep it consistent, and how to optimize and stand out in a crowded online space.
So far we have an amazing list of vendors who will be set up at tables around the room for you to visit with during our breakout sessions;
Jessica and I will be set up in 2 corners of the room for appointments with VIP ticket holders conducting audits. I will be taking a look at your brand consistency and your overall website’s functionality and design. Jessica will be auditing your social media, how you’re showing up, what your insights say, and how to optimize your bio.
We will have a CPA at her own table with handouts and be open to chatting and sharing advice on how to know your numbers and use them to run your business profitably.
There will be a marketing analyst to share her insights on your online insights! She can give tips and tricks on campaigns you’re planning, or help you understand what all the numbers mean in your Instagram professional dashboard.
I mentioned the two photographers already, they will be part of the vendor breakout sessions! VIP Ticket holders will get 10-15 brand shots delivered, and general admission tickets will get 2-5 shots! Oh, did I mention bring some props. This isn’t a full glam photoshoot, but it may behoove you to plan ahead and bring a small item that helps tell your brand’s story (scissors for a hair stylist, a phone case that is your brand’s colors, a disco ball if that’s your thing, keys for a realtor, etc.) Because again, these aren’t stand in front of a wall and smile headshots – these are brand shots. Allow them to represent you and your brand well so you can use them online!
VIP Ticket holders will be able to make appointments with Felted Crown Hat Co. a local custom hat bar, and make a custom hat to take home with you! VIP ticket holders will get a free logo branded on the hat!
VIP Ticket holders will also be able to visit with Sweet Honey Glow for some permanent jewelry bracelets!
Our passion to help women, and entrepreneurs in general can shine through our use of local businesses to supply all of our needs for this event! From our table set ups, attendee gifts, coffee, and lunch, all will be provided by local small businesses! – PS if you’re a local to Liberty Hill, Texas small business owner and would like to help in nay capacity, shoot us a message and let us know! We’d love to have you attend and/or support your business in any way!
Tickets can be purchased at www.rousedesignstudio.com/blue-collective and all proceeds will go towards our next event to make it as great as this one will be!
Speaking of next event… Our goal for The Blue Collective is to be a traveling workshop. We want to meet, connect, and share as many small businesses as we possibly can in cities around Texas. Through our events, women will be able to come together in a community of like-minded entrepreneurs, creating a space to learn about your business, support local small businesses, share ideas, brainstorm more, possibly meet a new client or business partner, maybe even a new best friend in your city! Our first event is in Liberty Hill/ Austin, Texas. We’re hoping to see Fort Worth, Texas next.
SEE YOU SOON!
