Layne & Co Salon is a bad-ass female-owned luxury hair salon in Austin, TX.
Shelby is a native Austinite, born and raised, so being able to bring hard work and talent back to her home town is something she always dreamed of. Shelby is extremely passionate about the beauty industry, which only continues to grow daily. Her mission is to educate her clients properly, spread love, kindness, and confidence to all those who she crosses paths with.
Shelby opened her salon studio the week following graduation from Paul Mitchell, the School Austin in 2017. While building her career as an independent stylist she stayed in salon suites for 4 years until September of 2021. She was able to open Layne & Co. with extreme determination and hard work.
THE BRIEF
Shelby had a vision for expanding her branding and bringing it to life through a stunning website.
Layne & Co’s brand identity can be described as feminine, luxury, timeless, and modern. In order to appeal to the clients that she loves working with, we wanted to make sure the branding was sleek, and memorable for everyone who encounters it!
CUSTOMIZATION
Throughout the website we wanted feminine, yet very luxe vibes to indicate the level of luxury and high-end services that Layne & Co Provides. We used professional, yet inviting language throughout the site and bright colors to match the salon and keep it girly. However…
Almost a year later, Shelby found that the pink was too much for her style and the salon. She felt they had outgrown the pink and become more neutral and classic in tone at the salon. Based on the level of services she offers, the staff she’s hired, and the type of clientele she is attracting, it was time for a little refresh! We took out most of the pink but kept it as an accent for button hovers and images!
Layne & Co continues to kill it with consistency throughout their social media and regularly updated brand photos, I love watching them grow!!
